UK Duo Disclosure Add Extra Kick to Dubai Rugby 7s

With all London dates on their forthcoming European tour already sold out, Disclosure touch down in Dubai this week. The brothers – Guy and Howard Lawrence – will add extra kick to the Emirates Rugby 7s. Topping the tournament’s music bill, the electronic duo headline on Friday 3 December.

It’s 10 years since the Lawrence brothers started making noise with their debut EP Carnival. Within two years, Disclosure blazed their way across the electronic scene thanks to hits like Latch, White Noise and You & Me. Their hugely-anticipated debut album Settle also arrived in 2013. Rooted in UK garage, the album shot to the top of the UK albums chart, as festival promoters around the world scrabbled to book the pair. Their popularity has never waned since.

Three Deep

Today, the brothers from Surrey are three studio albums deep. Sophomore album Carnal appeared in 2015 and they unleashed Energy on the world last year. Grammy Award nominations followed each album. The kings of collaboration, Disclosure worked with a diverse range of artists for Energy. They called in American talents Kelis, Aminé, Mick Jenkins, Channel Tres and British rapper Slowthai. They also hooked up with Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara and Cameroon’s Blick Bassy among others.

After dropping their Never Enough EP in August, and rocking a string of festivals, the lads announced a Spring 2022 tour. The 13-date tour kicks off with three sold-out London gigs in March. Disclosure have also joined !K7’s ranks, after accepting an invitation to compile a DJ-Kicks album for the revered label. Released in October, the compilation features two new tracks from the brothers themselves.
