LA Artist LOR Debuts with Turbocharged Breaks Cut ‘Warpdrive’

LOR

LOR throws open the door into his creative mind with debut track ‘Warpdrive’ – a full-throttle, high impact breaks cut loaded with electrifying tension. Designed to pulverize dancefloors, raw and pixelated bass stabs underpin the track’s frenetic energy, writhing acid lines lash out with insane intensity and gossamer vocals bring a hint of human hope to the dystopian sounds.

LOR is LA-based artist Taylor Harrison, whose music conveys a celestial universe of space-age sonics, mystical landscapes, outlandish entities and immersive stories. This realm of LOR is where imagination takes flight through music, art and technology. Running the spectrum from introspective beats to dancefloor destroyers, LOR’s music channels both electronic and indie influences. Whether transmitting melodic house heartbreak or unleashing resilient spacerave breaks, each LOR track conveys a deep sense of narrative.

Take ‘Warpdrive’ for instance. “It’s the soundtrack in my head to a rave on a spacecraft that’s aggressively blasting through the cosmos at warp speed, travelling beyond the known reaches of the universe,” says LOR. “The TB303 acid sound is pivotal to the evolution of electronic music. Making a nod to the past while looking to the future, I wanted to reinvigorate those acid leads in this track as my new journey as LOR gets underway.”

Hitch a Ride

Finding a home on bass music imprint Elektroshok Records, the track is out now via Beatport and the usual streaming sites. A full release follows on 17 May. Take it from us, ‘Warpdrive’ is a turbocharged beast that leaves you breathless, as its brutal breakbeats, layers of distortion and squealing pads all hurtle along at breakneck speed.
