Jaymie Deville

Dubai-based R&B singer and producer Jaymie Deville returns with his first single of the year. Style is a smooth, laidback lowrider, filled with glistening sound design, over which Jaymie lays down his attitude-filled vocal delivery. Money can’t buy style/Can’t buy style/I got my style/So keep your money.”

A Dubai resident for six years, Australian Jaymie teams up with UAE-based producer Rayan Bailouni on his new track. The pair worked together previously on Jaymie’s five-track True Love EP, released last year.

Faces

Shot in a warehouse, the video for Style features important characters who’ve stepped into Jaymie’s life in the Emirate. “When I first discussed the ideas for this project with Bailouni, I knew I really wanted to bring the city together with the visual,” said Jaymie. “People that have impacted my life out here in some sort of way, from DJs to entrepreneurs, fellow creatives, radio hosts and presenters, producers, models, photographers, singers, directors. People that have inspired me. This is just as much about them as it is about me.”

RAK Sessions

Jaymie Deville was one of several UAE-based artists handpicked for the recent RAK Sessions promotional campaign designed to showcase the beauty of Dubai’s neighbouring Emirate Ras Al Khaimah. For his RAK Session, Jaymie headed to Wadi Bin and shot a video for an acoustic version of his Labels track. “I wanted to choose a song of mine that suited the beautiful landscape of the Wadi Bih region,” said Jaymie. “Nature is simple and honest, so that’s exactly why I chose this acoustic version of Labels.”

After seeing Jaymie perform at the Breakout DXB festival, at Rove Downtown, in November, we’re excited to see what this talented young artists comes up with next.
