Time is running out to nominate your local music and nightlife hero for our UAE Music Power List 2021. iamCrü’s Music Power List is our way of honouring the hard-working people at the heart of our ever-evolving scene.

Unlike other awards or ‘Best of’ lists, iamCrü’s UAE Music Power List is not a popularity contest. It celebrates creativity and business acumen in equal measure. It salutes the industry players making a real difference – from the dancefloor to the boardroom. Your nominee doesn’t have to be in the public eye to be eligible. Sure, you can nominate your favourite DJ or promoter. Similarly, you can nominate venue managers, record label chiefs, talent bookers, event planners, production specialists and marketing whizkids.

“Our Music Power List acknowledges the amazing talent working within all corners of the industry,” said iamCrü’s Editor-in-Chief Lesley Wright. “It’s not solely about visibility. Music industry talent isn’t just found on a stage or in a DJ booth. There’s plenty of talent working diligently behind the scenes too.

“Who is innovating and effecting change?” asked Wright. “From front stage to back office, whose dedication to the scene is impressive? Who is thinking outside the box, using their influence positively or setting new trends? Who is shaking things up? If you think someone deserves recognition it’s time to put their name forward.”

Got someone in mind? Nominate your local music industry hero here. Nominations close on Thursday 25 November. We’ll unveil the UAE Music Power List in December. “The Power List celebrates the local industry’s strengths,” added Wright. “It’s a signal to the world that the UAE’s music and nightlife scene is not primarily dependent on imported ventures.”
