Saudi Festival MDLBEAST Soundstorm Reveals Mighty DJ Line-Up

When it comes to festival line-ups, MDLBEAST Soundstorm isn’t messing around. The Saudi festival has revealed the first name drop of top class DJs playing at the December event. The initial DJ call sheet features more than 60 heavyweights across the EDM, house, deep house and techno spectrums. And that’s just the first DJ announcement – organisers will unveil more artists in coming weeks.

As we expected, EDM DJs feature large with Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Deadmau5, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, and R3HAB leading the charge. Add David Guetta into the mix and main stage carnage is guaranteed with that lot bringing more bounce to the ounce.

Oh Yes, Oh Yes!

It’s an “Oh yes, oh yes!” moment to find Carl Cox – one of our all-time faves – on the line-up. Coxy spearheads the techno contingent along with fellow legends Jeff Mills, Sven Väth and Dubfire. The Queen of Techno, Nicole Moudaber returns to MDLBEAST Soundstorm after playing the inaugural festival in 2019 too. Drumcode boss Adam Beyer will experience the MDLBeast behemoth for the first time. Beyer’s Drumcode label recently celebrated its 250^th release with a “historic collaboration” with Kevin Saunderson. Known for her dark techno, KNTXT label boss Charlotte de Witte is on the line-up too.

Househeads will find plenty to suit their musical palate – from Camelphat and Solardo to the deeper tunes favoured by Tale of Us and Anjunadeep signings Eli & Fur. Lee Burridge is another DJ we love returning to MDLBEAST. Lee’s infamous All Day I Dream parties have touched down in Dubai in the past and his 2019 MDLBEAST set was a highlight.

Glimpse

The MDLBEAST Soundstorm megafest runs 16 – 19 December on a huge purpose-built site located 40 minutes outside of Riyadh. With more acts to be announced, the first roll call is just “a glimpse of the storm”.
