RXTH Makes Tastemakers Take Notice with Debut Single

UK singer-songwriter RXTH is making tastemakers sit up and take notice with her new release. Her debut single Beauty in the Spaces – a dusky electro-pop tune – featured on BBC Music Introducing last night. “I’m ecstatic that BBC Introducing selected Beauty in the Spaces for airplay,” said RXTH. “I’m thrilled BBC Music Introducing playlisted the track; it’s such a respected platform for new music.”

BBC Music Introducing “discovers, supports and propels” emerging UK artists. In the first 10 years after its launch, BBC Music Introducing artists notched up 14 UK No.1 singles, 68 UK Top 10 singles, 28 UK No.1 albums and 54 UK Top 10 albums.

Personal Transformation

Influenced by artists like Kate Bush, Portishead and Nine Inch Nails, RXTH makes “conscious music for people who feel too much”. Her lyrics lean towards personal transformation – her overriding passion. Lyrical themes range from emotional explorations, human nature and self-reflection to questions of consciousness and where we came from. “The aim is for my music to leave you better than it found you,” said RXTH, “and to remind listeners they aren’t alone with their big feelings and big questions.”

Out now, Beauty in the Spaces touches on the uncertainty of today’s challenging times whilst highlighting the opportunity for positive change.

Animation

For the video, RXTH collaborated with Davis-Vegas & Team, a talented group of animators from Colombia. “With the limitations of lockdown, I was looking for creative ways to express the song’s themes visually,” explained RXTH. “Animation seemed a great way to both communicate the uplifting intention behind the song and a chance to collaborate with creative people in another part of the world – without leaving the house.”

Beauty in the Spaces is available on all the usual platforms. More singles will follow and RXTH is planning an EP drop late spring/early summer.
