In hospital recovering from a stab wound, DJ Joseph Capriati has given an update on his condition. The Italian DJ and producer took to social media earlier today – Wednesday 13thJanuary – to thank fans and music industry colleagues for their support. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you, my relatives, friends, acquaintances, and the many DJs and promoters that have shown me so much affection these days. I’m touched,” said Capriati via Facebook.

Police were alerted after the Italian DJ turned at the Sant’Anna e San Sebastiano Hospital, in Caserta, with a severe chest injury. His father, 61, was arrested in connection with the stabbing. “Until this morning, I didn’t even have the strength to speak but doctors say that the worst is over now,” said Capriati.
Respect
The DJ politely asked for “some respect for my father and family”, stating: “I and none of you have the power and duty to judge what happened.”
When news of the incident emerged, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer and Dave Clarke were among the DJs to wish Capriati a speedy recover.
Capriati released his long-awaiting artist album Metamorfosi in September. Prior to its release, the DJ and producer said: “It is like giving my whole heart to all of you.”
