Here’s How to Make a Date with Duran Duran in Ibiza Next Year

If you had posters of Simon Le Bon or any of his Duran Duran bandmates plastered on your bedroom wall and never quite got over that teenage crush, then you should think about heading to Ibiza next year. ‘Duran Duran presents Touch The Sunrise’ is a special weekender taking place on the party island, from 30th April – 3rd May 2021.

What’s more, it’s part of the International Music Summit (IMS). Electronic music industry players from around the world head to IMS for a week of talks, panels and networking opportunities. And parties, of course.

IMS marks the start of the new clubbing season on the island and after the 2020 season was decimated by Covid-19, we’re all hoping for a return to normal on the island – and everywhere! – by next summer.

Guilty Pleasure

Duran Duran are one of our guilty pleasures and we’re not ashamed to admit it! One of the biggest bands of the ’80s, they spearheaded the New Romantics synth-pop movement of the time. along And while the clothes, hair and make-up of that era might make a few “Duranies” cringe nowadays, there’s no denying that many of the band’s tracks have become absolute classics. Check out the likes of ‘Rio’, ‘Save A Prayer’ and ‘Hungry Like the Wolf’ for proof.

Announcing the Ibiza weekender via social media, the band said: “We have all been working hard on this and can finally reveal that we’re inviting 4,000 of the band’s biggest fans to Ibiza to celebrate 40 years of Duran Duran. Join us for three days and nights of dancing in the Ibizan sun, DJ sets, outdoor screenings and a closing headline show to remember.”
