Dubai-Based Clean Bandit Collaborator Wins Sennheiser Competition
Congratulations to Dubai-based artist Iva Georgieva – Sennheiser’s new brand ambassador. Iva joins the Sennheiser ambassador team after winning the audio specialists’ search for a vocalist. The competition formed part of the firm’s UAE National Day celebrations.
Iva’s voice has turned heads and pricked up ears internationally. The Bulgarian vocal coach reached the finals in 2019’s ‘The Voice of Bulgaria’ TV talent show. The TV show brought Iva to the attention of UK electronic band Clean Bandit. The band needed a Bulgarian vocalist to step into Ellie Goulding’s vocal role on their hit song Mama. Iva impressed the band and sang on a Bulgarian version of the track.
Limitless Reach
In October, Sennheiser put out a call to find a vocalist to star in their special music video celebrating the UAE’s 50th National Day. Shot across numerous locations in the UAE, the video stars Iva singing Limitless. The track lyrics reflect the UAE’s limitless reach and the country’s aspirations. Known for high-energy percussion performances, Rhythm of Heart provides the beats.
Sennheiser Middle East’s Mig Cardamone said the company was committed to supporting local artists who contribute to a thriving music community. “The UAE’s 50th National Day is an auspicious occasion,” he added, “which is why we chose it to offer local talent an opportunity to express their feelings about a country they call home.”
Vocalists who made the competition shortlist won a Sennheiser microphone specially customized to mark the 50th UAE National Day. As well as starring in the video, winner Iva scooped a six-month brand ambassador contract. Check out Iva singing Limitless in the video below.
