Doorly and MistaJam Turn Up the Party Vibes at Zero Gravity

It’s shaping up to be an epic weekend at Zero Gravity. First up, the Dubai beach club is throwing a special Full Moon Beach Party on Thursday night. That handily coincides with the long-awaited opening of Ain Dubai. Full Moon party people can enjoy great views of the Ain Dubai celebrations – which will be spectacular – before international DJ Doorly rocks the joint into the night. There’s barely time to recover before MistaJam provides the party soundtrack at Friday’s Tropical Brunch.

Turntablist

Born in England and based in Los Angeles, Doorly is famed for his four-deck mixing. A skilled turntablist, his sets are full of energy. Across his production career, he’s collaborated with some of his all-time heroes, including Cajmere (Green Velvet), DJ Pierre, Switch and Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero. His next release – the Tribal Misfits EP – drops on Get Physical on Friday 29 October. Another collaboration with his pal Hauswerks, the EP boasts “a couple of late night club tools”.

Influential

The ever-smiley MistaJam is one of British music’s most influential characters. The Capital Dance don is a DJ, producer, songwriter and trusted cultural trailblazer. Following 15 years at the BBC, MistaJam was a key player in the launch of new radio station Capital Dance when it launched last year.

MistaJam enjoyed success recently with his single If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know). A collaboration with David Guetta and John Newman, the track reworks the Whitney Houston classic. “When I left the studio with a rough demo, I knew we’d written something special,” said MistaJam. The Nitty Gritty

Two great DJs rocking Zero Gravity within 24 hours? What’s not to like? The Full Moon Beach Party, on Thursday 21 October, costs just AED199 for chicks and AED299 for guys. The price includes unlimited food and beverages between 8pm and midnight. The Tropical Brunch at Zero Gravity, on Friday 22 October, will set you back a bit more. It’s AED349 for ladies and AED399 for guys. That includes all-day pool and beach access from 10am, plus unlimited food and beverages from 1pm – 5pm.
