David Guetta Ramps Up Gigs in Saudi with MDLBEAST PRESENTS

Superstar DJ David Guetta and MDLBEAST are on a mission to spread electronic music in Saudi Arabia. Guetta has signed up with MDLBEAST PRESENTS for a series of gigs in the kingdom, in the run up to next month’s Soundstorm – MDLBEAST’s mega festival.

“Building the music scene in the kingdom is central to our plans,” said Talal Albahiti, Head of Talent at MDLBEAST. “We aim to bring over the world’s best music icons to deliver genuine world-class entertainment. With the launch of MDLBEAST PRESENTS, we are renewing our commitment to produce incredible events and truly memorable experiences for music fans in Saudi Arabia and the region.”

Gratitude

Guetta was recently named DJ Mag’s No.1 DJ in the World – for the second year running. It’s the third time he’s scooped the top spot in the magazine’s annual poll. He was crowned No.1 for the first time in 2011. “I’m so proud to be a part of this amazing industry and can’t express my gratitude to everyone who voted me your No.1 DJ for a second year in a row,” said Guetta. “It means so much.”

Under the MDLBEAST PRESENTS banner, Guetta played at Billionaire Riyadh on Friday 12 November. He’ll play two more exclusive gigs – on 19 and 26 November – before performing at a Saudi Arabia Formula 1 Grand Prix after-race gig early December. The series of Saudi gigs build up to Guetta’s mainstage performance at MDLBEAST Soundstorm. The mega festival runs from 16 – 19 December.

Prolific

Guetta is one of the most prominent faces in electronic music. The French DJ is also a prolific producer. Last month, he released a remix of Oxia’s “iconic techno track” Domino.

For his latest release, Guetta teamed up with Bebe Rexha, Ty Dolla $ign and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. Family is the result.

In February, Guetta DJed from the helipad of the iconic Burj Al Arab. The special charity performance benefited UNICEF and Dubai Cares’ campaign ‘Education Uninterrupted’. The spectacular show is on Guetta’s YouTube channel and has chalked up nearly 28.5 million views.
