Check Out the Super Talented Street Artists at Urban Art DXB

Witness the mad skills of super talented street artists by visiting Urban Art DXB. Part of World Art Dubai 2021, Urban Art DXB features live sessions from local and international artists including Maddy Butcher, Fink 22 and Pure Evil. Spray cans will rattle in a street art battle, with teams competing to create the winning piece. And visitors can have clothes and accessories customised.

Curated by Louis Wright from London-based gallery Vandalist Art, the Urban Art DXB zone at the World Art Dubai fair is dedicated to graffiti and street art. Visitors can customise artwork with selected text and colours using an interactive print machine. Or let established street artists customise your artwork by applying stencil overlays on canvas.

Wearable Art

Art goes beyond the wall with Artify with Craftology by Ella Orencillo. Applying her signature pop-surrealism and vivid colours to clothes, shoes and accessories, Ella gives apparel a cool new look. Ella’s quirky designs include wildlife, flowers and baked goods.

Dubai-based designer Samar Raafat’s handmade wearable art will hit the catwalk at various times across the four-day event. Covering both female and male apparel, expect intricately painted abayas and fabulous tailored suits.

World Art Dubai

Melting Pot

World Art Dubai is the region’s most affordable retail art fair. Celebrating all forms of art, this year’s event features 2000 artworks by 200 artists from more than 27 countries. Displaying furniture, mixed media, fashion, music, dance, digital art, photography, graffiti, sculptures and more, it’s a vibrant melting pot for seasoned art collectors, enthusiasts and newcomers.

Robot

With technology playing an increasingly important role in artistic entertainment, AI NORN, from Russia, will roll out its robot artist for a regional debut. The robot turns photographs into art by analysing colours and shapes and replicating them with brush strokes.

Partnering with fynd.art, World Art Dubai offers a contactless experience. By scanning an art piece with a smartphone, visitors can explore information about artwork exhibited, artists and galleries.

The four-day fair runs at Dubai World Trade Centre, from Wednesday 7th – Saturday 10th April. Tickets are a steal at just AED20. Tickets and more info at worldartdubai.
