At Last! Long-Awaited Nightclub B018.DXB Will Open on 30 September

Not long to wait now until legendary Lebanese club B018’s Dubai outpost finally opens. B018.DXB will throw open its doors, crank up the soundsystem and welcome eager clubbers on Thursday 30 September. We don’t know the DJ line-up just yet but the club’s Insta confirms the opening date and warns: “Plan accordingly.” The club will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

In Beirut, B018 is famously located in an underground bunker with retracting roof. Entertainment company 7 Management is behind bringing B018.DXB to the Emirate. 7 Management’s website reads: “Beirut’s favourite ‘bunker’ nightclub with its legendary music has made its way to Dubai. From 1998, Beirut’s highly infamous ‘bunker’ has been calling to all music and party lovers, a delicious nightlife scene for the dance thirsty. BO18’s infamy has expanded its love to Dubai, along with its highly coveted underground music, art and culture scene. Our one request is that you let go and simply just be.”

Transform

B018.DXB is located on the 42nd floor of Media One Hotel, in Dubai Media City. Award-winning architect Rabih Geha was commissioned to transform the venue space. His architecture firm picked up an award for the interior design of Beirut rooftop bar BAU in 2019.

If original plans have been followed, B018.DXB will feature two rooms – the Tropical Room and Main Room. As the name – and architect renders – suggest, the Tropical Room will boast lush greenery, plush furniture and warm lighting. By contrast, the Main Room will maintain a stripped back industrial feel, with exposed pipes. And we can expect some design nods to B018 in Beirut too.

The Beirut port blast in August 2020 decimated much of the city’s vibrant club scene. Thankfully, B018 survived relatively unscathed due to its below ground location. With B018’s great reputation among international DJs, we’re sure B018.DXB will make an impact on Dubai’s clubbing scene. We can’t wait to check it out.
