5 Hotspots to Watch the Euro 2020 Matches in Dubai
The 2020 European Football Championship kicks off today. While the tournament anthem leaves us cold, there are plenty of hotspots to watch the Euro 2020 matches in Dubai.
About that official anthem. Martin Garrix teamed up with U2’s Bono and The Edge to produce We Are The People for the Euro 2020 tournament. We give the song a red card – but judge for yourself below.
Passionate
Lots of musicians are passionate about football. Did you know Sir Elton John once owned Watford Football Club? He claims fans’ jibes about his clothes and music kept him grounded at the height of his fame. Rod Stewart harboured ambitions to be a footballer and had a trial to play for Brentford FC. A massive Chelsea fan, Paul Oakenfold named his LA music studio after his team’s stadium – Stamford Bridge. And Norman Cook, aka DJ Fatboy Slim, is a shareholder in Brighton & Hove Albion.
Action
Let’s get back to the football action. The rescheduled Euro 2020 Championship features 24 teams playing across 51 matches in 12 cities. It kicks off in Rome today, Friday 11 June. The final takes place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 11 July.
