Zero Gravity Ramps Up the Cool Factor with Surf Shack Pop-Up
Surf’s up at Zero Gravity. The Dubai beach club’s two-storey bar and restaurant has been transformed into a ‘Surf Shack’. Adding a fresh look and feel, the cool new Surf Shack brings Bali beach vibes to the popular venue.
With surf boards hanging on the walls, fishing nets and lush greenery growing over the bar, the Surf Shack is a quirky and casual place to chill. The central bamboo bar contains a circular stage for live performers, with Zero Gravity’s resident house DJs serving up hot summer soundtracks from the venue’s impressive DJ booth. And, of course, there’s a photo op set-up for Insta addicts.
We bet pro-surfer turned DJ FISHER would give Zero Gravity’s Surf Shack the thumbs up. The Australian DJ and producer – Paul Fisher to his mum – cranked up house music before competing in pro-surfing competitions. Now the Grammy nominated DJ and producer rocks parties all over the world. He’d be a good shout to rock Zero Gravity’s new Surf Shack, no?
Fun Times
The Surf Shack’s upstairs Games Room is also worth checking. Designed for big kids of all ages, the Games Room features giant Connect 4, snakes and ladders, ping-pong, hula hoops, a limbo pole and other fun games.
What’s more, Zero Gravity introduces its new Asobi brunch every Saturday from 7 August. Asobi means ‘fun’ in Japanese, and there’ll be plenty of that with five hours of unlimited food and beverages from noon until 5pm. Inspired by Asian street food, the new brunch menu boasts Vietnamese rice paper rolls to chicken satay skewers, Singapore noodles and Japanese sushi rolls. Vegetarians are also well catered for with papaya salad, vegetable noodles, spring rolls and dim sum.
Offering access to Zero Gravity’s pool, beach and Surf Shack from 10am, the Asobi brunch is only AED249 for ladies, AED299 guys, and AED199 for teachers, cabin crew and healthcare workers. Sun loungers are first come first served, with tables, sofas and VIP day beds available for reservations. Zero Gravity is located at Skydive Dubai Drop Zone, Dubai Marina.
