What’s Cooking with the New Anghami Lab Concept?
The Anghami juggernaut is gathering speed. The Middle East and North Africa’s largest music platform keeps developing fresh ways to extend its reach and impact. In the latest genius move, Anghami is teaming up with Addmind to launch Anghami Lab – an innovative entertainment concept in Dubai.
So what is Anghami Lab? Well, opening early 2022, the venue will combine both online and offline worlds, bridging digital and traditional entertainment. The Anghami Lab will house a lounge, stage and studio where artists can experiment and co-create music. Artists will perform the music created there within the venue. And it will also become exclusively available on the Anghami platform. The app will also provide unique features complementing both online and offline experiences.
Addmind bring their hospitality expertise to the partnership. The company operates well-known brands like White, Iris and Clap across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Qatar and London. Addmind will reflect Anghami’s cultural roots in Anghami Lab menus, serving up a fusion of Arabic and international dishes.
Transformational Experience
“We are excited to partner with Addmind to create this unique, transformational experience for our users,” said Anghami chief Eddy Maroun. “Addmind is a leading expert in conceptualising and operating hospitality spaces. This is a great opportunity to further reinforce the value we provide digitally to be converged offline in a unique user-to-guest experience.”
Tony Habre, CEO Addmind, added: “Anghami is more than just a streaming platform, they have elevated the value of the music industry in the Middle East as a whole. Anghami Lab is an amazing and unique concept that embodies our rich Arab culture with an international twist, which we are thrilled to bring to fruition and scale.”
Locations
The Anghami Lab in Dubai is just the beginning. Following the UAE location, Anghami Lab will launch in Riyadh, Jeddah, Cairo, Beirut, London, New York and Los Angeles.
Launched in 2012, Anghami was the first music-streaming platform in the MENA region. Today, it has a catalogue of more than 57 million songs available to over 70 million users. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, it has offices in Beirut, Dubai, Cairo and Riyadh and operates in 16 countries. Anghami expects to become a publicly traded company via a merger with Vistas Media Acquisition Company Inc.
