Living in Dubai and still not sorted your plans for New Year’s Eve? Well, cheap seats are now on sale for the massive KISS gig at Atlantis – the UAE’s first vertical concert.
Okay, we’re being facetious. UAE residents can attend the KISS show in person by buying a table on the Royal Pool Deck, at Atlantis. But it’s not so cheap, really. A table with an obstructed or partially obstructed view will set you back from AED2500 per person. That’s based on a minimum of five people per table.
Spectacular
The upside is the KISS at Atlantis show will be rather spectacular. The Middle East’s first vertical gig will also be the largest concert production ever set up in UAE history. The US rockers are going all out on this one, with a crew of 400 putting the show together. A special stage is currently being built on the hotel’s Royal Beach. And KISS will make sure it goes with a bang – by detonating pyrotechnics worth AED3.5 million.
What’s a vertical gig? Well, that’s when fans watch from a vertical rather than horizontal plane. In this instance, fans who’ve forked out mega bucks to stay at Atlantis will watch from their hotel room balconies. Kinda like having their very own box suites – with room service.
Goodbye 2020
The night will unfold with a pre-show from 9pm, followed by the KISS spectacular with record-breaking pyrotechnic show and The Palm’s legendary fireworks display.
“On New Year’s Eve, KISS will rock the heavens, shake the earth and blaze the way out of 2020 with the largest and most bombastic celebration in our and anyone else’s history,” the band said in a statement.
Poolside tickets for UAE residents include free-flowing beverages and light bites. Guests can also enjoy a live DJ set from 1am or move indoors to a seated party in Nobu or Wavehouse. Head to Atlantis The Palm for more NYE ticket info.
Filmed with more than 50 cameras and 360-degree views, the NYE show will also be live streamed globally. Produced by City Drive Studios, the live stream will be a season premiere for a ‘Landmarks Live In Concert’ series. KISS fans around the globe need to buy a ticket to watch the live stream.
