Hannah Wants, Jess Bays and Jennifer Jamieson Bring The Heat

Leading ladies in UK house, Hannah Wants and Jess Bays pack heat on new track I Don’t Know. Out now on Stress Records, the seductive groove-fuelled stomper features vocalist Jennifer Jamieson. I Don’t Know boasts a contagiously catchy bassline, tight drums, classic house pads and a simple yet hooky vocal. The end result sounds old school and fresh at the same time. Hannah calls it “straight-up feel-good vibes”.

Jess, too, is excited by the record’s release. “This past year has given a lot of us the chance to collaborate with other artists that we may not usually have been able to. We’ve had time to recalibrate, breathe and just focus on being creative. This is my first go at a proper club record and it’s an honour to do it with someone as influential as Hannah. Jennifer absolutely killed it with the top line too – such a super catchy hook!” Listen to I Don’t Know below.

Impact

Long-term friends, Hannah Wants and Jess Bays continue to make an impact on the electronic music scene. A former professional footballer, Hannah Wants plays to sell-out crowds across the world. Finally gigging again after a Covid-19 hiatus, Hannah said: “A significant part of my soul has returned after DJing for the first time since March 2020. I’d been out the touring game for 16 months and for about six of those, I’m not even gonna lie, I’d forgotten what everything felt like, the sound of the bass from outside the venue, the excitement, the butterflies, a full dancefloor, the energy from a crowd. It took less than a mix to remember who I am, what I do and why I do it.”

With tracks like Call Me and Never Gonna Tell You in her arsenal, Hannah has released on Ultra Music, Armada and Positiva. She also runs her own label, Etiquette, and holds a new Saturday night weekly residency on the UK’s famed Kiss FM.

Recently announced as a presenter on Capital Dance, Jess Bays has gained incredible momentum in the last 12 months. She returns to Stress Records after her big hitter Back & Forth and remixes for Rudimental, Becky Hill and Owen Westlake.
