Grime Legend D Double E Adds New Energy to Preditah’s ‘Glucose’ Track
Great things happen when legends of the UK’s grime scene get together creatively. A new collaboration between rapper D Double E and producer Preditah is a case in point. Hailed as one of grime’s pre-eminent MCs, D Double E drops dope rhymes on Preditah’s Glucose track. With Preditah’s original heavily supported since its release earlier this summer, D Double E ramps up the distinctive UK flavour on this remix.
D Double E’s sharp lyrics – complete with trademark “Oh my gosh” exclaims – inject fresh energy into Glucose while four-four drum patterns converge on a bouncy groove. Preditah’s innate garage influences shine through in the track’s female vocal hooks, as whispering hats march on in the background. Out Friday 13 August on Palm Recs, this is a summer heater through and through. Check out D Double E’s outing on Glucose below.
Major Player
One of the original artists to nurture grime off the back of drum & bass, jungle, and garage, UK rapper/grime artist D Double E is a major player in the scene and beyond. Over his career, he’s worked with many top artists across a variety of genres. Heavyweights like Shy FX, Skepta and Dizzee Rascal are among those to tap up D Double E for collaborations.
