Dubai’s reputation as a party destination is growing. First up, more than 1000 party-starved Brits snapped up tickets for the ‘Destination Unknown’ house weekender. Now travel experience company Pollen is offering a ‘FLY presents Dubai’ four-night package to the Emirate, including “non-stop parties and a huge house and techno line-up”.
‘FLY presents Dubai’ takes place 1st – 5th April. Conveniently, that’s over the UK’s Easter bank holiday weekend. The agenda includes “nightclub takeovers” at BASE, Soho Garden and Code. We don’t know who is playing where at the moment, but FLY guests can party with Alan Fitzpatrick, Denis Sulta and Hot Since 82. They can also cut loose to Jasper James, Richy Ahmed and Skream, who’ll also be DJing in Dubai.
Best DJ
We’re well up for catching fellow Glaswegian Denis Sulta playing here in Dubai. The DJ, producer and Sulta Selects label boss was named Best DJ at last year’s DJ Mag Best of British Awards. In September, Sulta turned in a remix of Disclosure and Kelis track Watch Your Step and released This Moment of Silence on Matrefakt’s Attitudes to Life label.
More recently he remixed Joesef’s Does It Make You Feel Good? Sulta describes Joesef as an artist with substance and vision. “I am absolutely over the moon at how this turned out and I can’t wait to hear it in a dark sweaty room – loud – very, very soon,” said Sulta.
The ‘FLY presents Dubai’ party and accommodation packages start from £249. Price excludes flights and ground transport. Reservations can be secured with a £30 deposit here.
Destination Unknown
The five-day ‘Destination Unknown’ event takes place 26th – 30th May 2021. It involves a series of parties across a variety of locations – including Barasti, White Beach, Soho, Zero Gravity and the Lotus Mega Yacht. Solardo, Danny Howard, Hannah Wants and Latmun are all locked in for that party weekender. Adam Cotier, Adam Graca, Andy Swift and Natalie Brogan will fly the flag for the local DJ scene.
