Dubai Producer Rohan Nunes Grabs the Attention of House Legend

Dubai-based DJ and producer Rohan Nunes is buzzing this week after house legend Todd Terry backed his latest track. Alles Gute by Peznt featuring Rohan Nunes is out now on Blacksoul Music and it’s firing. Todd ‘The God’ charted the track in his latest Top 10 and has been playing it on his radio show. “I feel on top of the world,” laughed Rohan. “To have an absolute legend and Grammy-nominated icon like Todd Terry support your track is pretty special.”

Rohan created the riff for Alles Gute when he was messing about in his home studio last year. Upon its recent release, the track instantly made an impact on Traxsource’s Weekend Weapons chart. You can listen to Alles Gute below:

Prolific Producer

Long-term Dubai resident Rohan, who DJs at Barasti and Qd’s, is a prolific producer. Alles Gute is Rohan’s first track under his own name but it won’t be the last. There are more tracks under his own name in the pipeline.

Rohan has put his previous production alias Deep Hertz to bed but he continues to make nu-disco/disco house under his Man Go Funk alias. Man Go Funk tracks Lisa Can Dance and Ghetto Feeling, also released on Blacksoul, both peaked at No.2 on Traxsource. The City Soul Project & Man Go Funk Remix of Chat Chat by Turkish & The Blade is out now. Up next, Man Go Funk’s Outstanding track is primed for release on Soul Beach Records in January.

Rohan will also unleash his new S.O.N. – Sound of Nunes – project next year. “I can be more experimental with my S.O.N. project,” he explained. “It will allow me to release a little bit of everything, from ambient to melodic techno.

“During lockdown I just got lost in making music and there’s so much more to come,” said Rohan. “In the new year I’ll also be working with Cathy Battistessa, who is an incredible singer-songwriter. Cathy features on several Café Del Mar compilations and it’ll be interesting to see what we come up with together. I’m excited for the year ahead.”
