Damian Lazarus Kicks Off Palmarama Dubai Parties at White Beach

This ticks all the right boxes. White Beach is upping its game for the new season. The beach club has invited The Night League to bring its successful Palmarama party to the Emirate. The result is Palmarama Dubai – an 11-date residency at White Beach featuring some of the world’s biggest DJs.

Fresh from a successful first season at Ibiza beach hotel Ushuaïa, the Palmarama brand of party magic is on its way to the UAE. And The Night League crew aren’t messing about with the line-ups for Palmarama Dubai. House and techno heads are spoiled for choice over the coming weeks with Andrea Oliva, Artbat, Bedouin, Black Coffee, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Maceo Plex, Nicole Moudaber, Tale of Us and more booked to headline.

Far Beyond

First up, Palmarama Dubai kicks off on Friday 22 October with Damian Lazarus. The DJ, producer and Crosstown Rebels label boss is famed for going far beyond standard chords and kicks for dancefloor utopia.

Damian’s career is long and storied. Around the turn of the millennium, he took up a post at London Records before becoming A&R at the City Rockers label. Damian’s knack for unearthing a tune soon became apparent. Felix Da Housecat’s Silver Screen Shower Scene and Tiga & Zyntherius’s Sunglasses At Night were some of his earliest finds. His A&R skills remain on-point to this day and have transformed his Crosstown Rebels label into an independent behemoth.

Long-obsessed with the mystical, Lazarus launched his Day Zero festival in Tulum’s Mayan jungle in 2012. Day Zero expanded into the Masada area of southern Israel’s Judaean desert in 2019. The Day Zero experience “hangs on the pillars of immersion and cultural connectivity, sharing space between the ancient world and modern mankind”.

Surprise Elements

As a producer, Lazarus loves to surprise. Earlier this year, he teamed up with Diplo and Jungle on Don’t Be Afraid. “The general consensus on this collaboration is wtf?” said Damian. “And I love it!”

As one of the most respected DJs in today’s house and techno scene, Lazarus impresses with his curveball selections. So expect the unexpected when he headlines Palmarama Dubai.

Furthermore, White Beach at Atlantis The Palm will be transformed into a “Mediterranean-inspired oasis” with fire breathers and contortionists adding to the experience.
